No watermark is added to videos created within the app, but you are required to create a free account with VN to use it. Unlike some apps that have a free, limited version and a paid premium version that will unlock additional features and tools, VN has only one version. For this review, I tested the Android (version 1.30.2), which runs on Android 5.0 and up. VN is available on both iOS and Android, though the apps are not identical.
I recently decided to have another look at VN to see if the newer version is more stable and usable. But the biggest problem (making the app unusable for me) was that VN constantly crashed on the Pixel 3a and Samsung S8 phones I used for testing. Using the HDR video option can result in flat looking videos or overexposed videos as currently not all editing apps and social media apps support the HDR video format.
